Volunteer for Isreal’s Elementary School in Nicaragua

Israel Mission Elementary School is to provide educational opportunities for those who can not afford to create a private school. An important objective is to encourage children to continue their secondary education, and later post-secondary education, by launching a free primary education for them. The school serves several communities in and around the area of the island of Ometepe Moyogalpa. There are two schedules for students, one in the morning and afternoon. This allows for the fact that many children need help with their families on farm households to produce sales, etc. for part of the day. The majority of students are children from families with low incomes. Often elementary Israel will donate to help suppliment costs for uniforms and school supplies so that children do not have to leave school.
